Special thanks to Feel Into The Knowing for nominating Sheulogy for the Sunshine Blogger Award. It’s a pleasure to read the stories and research you share about self-healing and how science and faith converge. A deep bow to you for taking notice of Sheulogy.com and our tribe of writers with your nomination. Sheulogy is proud to spotlight a talented heart-centered collection of writers, all of whom have given us a unique window into their personal journeys and the shoes they’ve walked in. Accepting your nomination, here are my answers to your questions below:

1. What does your name mean?

My name is Tara, which in Latin is spelled ‘terra’ and means ‘earth’. I’ve been told that in Hindi, Tara means ‘star’. Sheulogy is a word that I made-up. I submitted it to Urban Dictionary and, inspired, built the Sheulogy.com platform and community around its meaning: sheu·lo·gy /ˈsho͞oləjē/ a speech or piece of writing that memorializes a favorite pair of worn out shoes.

2. How would your life’s mission statement read?

My life’s mission statement in a nutshell: to live boundlessly and to help others do the same.

3. What is one character flaw that you are working on or can work on?

Patience is not exactly a virtue in my book. While I could admittedly stand to have more of it, I also think my unwillingness to be ‘patient’ is a big part of what helps me make things happen, quickly.  Like everything, there’s a positive side and a shadow side. The key is to strike the right balance between the two.

4. How do you relax?

A multitude of ways, to include: A good book. A night of salsa dancing is medicina for my soul. Time in nature, especially if it involves soaking in hot springs or sand between my toes. A night out, or in, with my guy.

5. What piece of advice would you give your younger self?

Keep going. This wild ride is all going to make sense to you someday. The journey you’re on is preparing you to be and to serve in ways you can’t fathom right now, but, trust me, it’s all good.

6. If you could travel (all expenses paid) where would you travel?

Hm. I’ve always been a traveler and since 2007 have been living a full-time nomadic lifestyle. If you asked me tomorrow, my answer might change, but one place I’d love to explore with no cap on finances is Buenos Aires, Argentina. Hotels, restaurants, excursions, night life, spa treatments, a full cultural immersion. Argentina – Buenos Aires in particular – is a place on my list for sure.

7. What dream have you placed on hold?

This question stumped me for a minute. If it’s a dream I currently have, it’s not on hold at all. I have several dreams in the works — all very much alive, present, and in process. There are also dreams I used to have but outgrew, like having a big beautiful house, for example. I simply don’t want that anymore.

8. Where do you see yourself next year?

So many places. Nomad life suits me well and I fully anticipate I’ll be traveling and exploring next year, as I did this year, and last year…

9. When was the last time you laughed out loud and why?

I find that there’s a lot of humor to be found in everyday life. I laugh at myself fairly regularly, and my guy is rather good at making me laugh.  My go-to on Netflix are the stand-up comedy shows. And Facetime with my niece and nephew is always a crack-up.

10. Describe your dream life:

I do meaningful location-independent work with clients I adore. I travel when and where I please. I have a loving partner, a sweet dog, and friends and family I adore. I dance and hike and feel healthy and free in my body. This is my dream life, and I’m thrilled to say I’m living it.

11. What are you thankful for?

Please see above answer. 🙂
